Pad Thai Recipe
What is Pad Thai?
Pad Thai originated in Thailand and it is a stir-fry noodle dish with a peanut sauce, topped with crushed peanuts,
various meats, eggs and vegetables.
Pad Thai Ingredients:
These portion will make approximately 4 servings.
- Rice noodles
- 3 tablespoon of oil, preferably vegetable oil
- 5 cloves of garlic, minced
- 12 ounces of a desired protein; chicken, tofu, beef, etc
- 4 boiled eggs
- 1 cup of bean sprouts
- 4 thai chilies, minced
- Crushed peanuts
- 1/2 cup of cilantro
Pad Thai Sauce
- 3 tablespoons of fish sauce
- 1 tablespoon of soy sauce
- 5 tablespoon of brown sugar
- 2 tablespoon of rice vinegar
- 2 tablespoon of peanut butter
- A desired amount of sriracha
Instructions:
- Cook your rice noodles until almost cooked.
- Combine all of the sauce ingredients into a bowl.
- In a large pan, pour 1 1/2 of your oil and fry your protein until almost cooked.
- Pushing the protein aside, pour the rest of your cooking oil, then fry your garlic, sprouts, and Thai chilies.
- Once the garlic is almost golden brown, crack 4 eggs into the pan and scramble.
- Turn off the heat, and add in the noodles and Pad Thai sauce.
Assembly:
You can portion out the noodles from the pan and top it with the crushed peanuts, sriracha, lime, and whatever you desire.
